So take the fight with the fireball in your garden

If you have seen a beautiful garden, well-organized parks or public spaces, or you have perfected your own street or foreground with a glittering hedge or border, you will surely know the  evergreen penguins that throw their surroundings all year round.  So it doesn't hurt to tie your pants because it will not be an easy task to expose these pests.

WHAT IS A FIREBALL?

This pest only appeared in Hungary a few years ago and came straight from the Far East to Hungary's biggest sorrow for boxwood owners. It was first discovered in Sopron in 2011, and since then, these pests have appeared in the surroundings of Lake Balaton and in the capital and even in the eastern part. The larvae are green and have black stripes, only 4 cm long, so it is very difficult to find the hidden creatures that resemble the magpie first. Puppeting is done on the plant, on the back of the leaves, hiding from the curious eyes. So most people discover only when they are walking in the gardens as buxus. But butterflies are really beautiful, their wings are white and their edges are brown, and this color combination glows in silk.
Their appearance, however, is misleading because they can cause unconscious damage where they once settled. The bad news is that once you have "moved in" there are three generations in a year, so if you meet a butterfly or see a larva, chances are not the one and last one.

WHAT KIND OF DAMAGE DOES THE FIREBALL CAUSE?

On plants, damage to larvae can be observed, so if the small pests are hiding, you will see the telling signs on the leaves. When they do great destruction, only the petioles remain behind them, and the chewed-up shoot also shows the larvae of the larvae and their web-like webs. The only joy in the excitement is that the penguins have a very high renewable capacity, so that the fractured parts will sprout over time. So once you get rid of the fireballs, you don't have to lose everything yet, there may be some beautiful buxos in your garden.

HOW DO I PROTECT MYSELF FROM PESTS?

Prevention is not easy, because you can only prevent destruction if you discover the larvae in time. This is only possible if you often look through the letters of the buxys, which we can see, because of the dense branches, it is almost impossible. However, if you discover their presence, you should act as soon as possible. Calm down, you don't have to cut off the whole shit, this is only the case in extreme cases. The most ideal solution is pruning, simply removing the parts, getting rid of the pests. If the damage is greater than being able to get rid of a pruner, Plan B can be used, namely the use of insecticides. To do this, you will need a high-pressure sprayer to help you penetrate the inner parts of the box. Otherwise, all your efforts will be in vain, as if a larva is lying between the branches, you have lost the battle. He will further damage his shrub and even grow. Before choosing the right insecticide, it is advisable to read the details as much as possible, or to consult with a specialist, as you only want to get rid of the poppies, and the rest of the living creatures do not have to be attacked because of the pests.
