Get ready for the snail attack in the garden after the rain
The careful hobbyist must prevent the snail skeleton after the rainy weather. Environmentally-friendly tricks, traps, snapping plants against them.
SNAILS IN THE GARDEN ONCE AND TODAY
Before we shoot with a "cannon", we have to figure out what led to these animals making our lives so difficult in the garden.
On the one hand, the Spanish slugs ( slug or csupaszcsigák ) food shipments to Austria were in the last century, 60 years, with rainy summers due to the spread and multiplied, and soon appeared at us.
On the other hand, experience shows that the care of gardens has changed significantly in the last decade. Earlier, it was customary to keep hens in agricultural farms and gardens - and as a "last guest", it was possible to clean the garden in the autumn: snails and small snails belonged to their gourmets. of course you have to equip and nurture.
NATURAL ENEMIES OF SNAILS
- The dry wall (a stone wall that is not held by concrete) is a real paradise for snails enemies such as lizard or fragile cousin.
- The foliage left under hedges and flower shrubs provides a hiding place for our futures, which is a big snail shovel.
- The cut branches remain on the edges of the garden - the hedgehog can hide there.
- Consistent collection of unpleasant mucus in the evenings and in the morning is not only good exercise but also the best prevention.

CHEMICAL PROTECTION
- If the snails have been scattered somewhere, the majority of hobbyists will hit the snail.
- It is important to use only "eco-friendly" worms! Spread the substance on the surface and irrigate it. Do not wait to find the destroyed snails. the snails are very happy to consume the scattered granules.
- You can also spread:
- plated lime (20 g / m2)
- ironing (10 g / m2)
- superphosphate
- wood ash
- Take care not to get the snail into the vicinity of vegetables and fruits for consumption .
